One of my favourite all time stores is H&M. I love all their plain basic jersey clothes which always last me for years and are so affordable. They mix comfort with style and often have some of the coolest prints around. They also have a conscious range so it’s possible to been greener when shopping for new clothing too.

For me I love a good shop around Primark. I’m not overly confident with fashion trends so being able to pick them up at a lower price and try them out is amazing! We have such a great range of stores in the UK for all styles and budgets. You know that if you walk into a shopping centre you can find an outfit for every occasion all under one roof. I love looking round New Look and Accessorize too!

Lindy Bop has the most gorgeous dresses, it’s actually dangerous for me to go on their website because I love so many of their pieces and they have now extended from dresses and skirts to homeware, shoes and tops. Everything they have is just so pretty and it’s quite reasonably priced. I have a few of their dresses but I always want more. I don’t think I’ll ever have enough!

Topshop pretty much to me epitomises British fashion, it’s a brand that’s seen through some of the biggest trends, and has a open arms approach to hosting collections from local designers, and niche brands. Whenever I go down to fashion week I always strive to see the Topshop Unique collection as they fit my personal style very well, and get the cuts perfect for my body shape.

My current favourite UK clothing brands include Zara, Cos, & Other Stories, Weekday and Marks & Spencers. My style is usually very minimal so I tend to keep colours neutral, and these brands always have great pieces that will last for years in my wardrobe. I only discovered Cos and Weekday in the recent years, but love their take on minimal style whilst still following current fashion trends. & Other Stories has French, Parisian-Chic vibes which I love. But all three are actually owned by the H&M group! I also like Marks & Spencer’s for the quality of their clothes. They are often considered an ‘older brand’ for a relatively older demographic, however their recent clothes have been very on trend and stylish.

Although apparently it’s recently has fallen on hard times I’ve always loved House of Fraser, it has a much trendier edge than many of its department store rivals and also so much choice. Some of the clothes it stocks are well respected labels with well-made clothes – not easy to find these days!

Oasis is my favourite UK fashion store. Their clothes are so classical and yet timeless. They have always been my favourite, from a young age till now. I can always rely on them for the perfect dress, for all occasions. While most UK fashion store caters to the latest seasonal trend. Oasis, cater to their own trend and don’t follow others fashion store styles. If I have to use two words to describe them, it would be floral romantic. From there floral print clothes to their embroidered jumper; there is a little something for everyone. All a reasonable high street prices.
A few years ago I was obsessed with embroidery outfits, this was around the time Laura Lees has a collection in Topshop where it was filled with unusual embroidery outfits. I was really taken in the romanticism of the embroidery and how it made the outfit look handmade and fresh. So this brings me to my point on why I love Oasis. Their style is timeless and classic, while also have the romanticism quality to them. Their embroidered outfit doesn’t follow another high street trend, instead, Oasis follow their own trend and give them a uniqueness that you don’t often see on the high street.

It’s not just because the clothes I buy last year-on-year (the cost-per-wear of my tweed coat must be down to pennies, I’ve worn it so many times!), I like the store because they have a commitment to sustainability – both socially and environmentally – and are trying to make the fashion industry a more ethical place. Plus, they encourage shoppers to recycle their old clothing through their garment recycling scheme.

I adore vintage style clothes and so Lady Voluptuous at Lady V London and Collectif Dolores dresses are my favourites, but I have so many pieces from Newlook Curve, Yours Clothing, Evans, Simply Be, and Asos!

Here are my CURRENT favourite clothing stores and brands. In no discernible order.
Reiss
Actually I lied this probably is in a discernible order. I find Reiss are my go to brand for a multitude of occasions. Guys become quite tribal when it comes to clothing, they like a brand and they stick with it.
I try and mix it up as much as I can but one of the common themes running throughout my style shoots is that there will inevitably be something from Reiss in there.
They have a wide selection, the fit feels good, the clothes are design led and you always get good bang for your buck.
King and Tuckfield
In there with a bullet! I’m utterly beguiled by the latest King and Tuckfield capsule collection of late. This season they’ve teamed with Richard Biedul, he’s chipped in with the designs and has really taken the brand on his journey of refined elegance.
The collection is crisp, the designs are classic and the colours are fantastically rich. Perfectly in keeping with the sustainability movement, this brand is not for fast-fashion purposes. It’s a collection to be treated with respect, something to be cherished and handed down to the next generation.
Hawkins & Shepherd
Of course I can’t leave out my own brand. Anyone that runs their own business will know there’s always a bit of you in every product you produce. It’s been a labour of love sometimes but I wouldn’t trade it for the world. My Hawkins & Shepherd shirt subscription service has been launched and is being really well received. (Don’t forget to look out for the adverts on the black cabs around London).
KOBOX
Well you said to mention brands, did they have to be clothing brands? You can check out my Instagram page to find out how much I’ve been putting into my fitness of late. The KOBOX gym is a wonderful way to get fit, night club meets fight club as they say and I can’t rave about it enough.

I’ve spent life since my teens searching for clothes that fit – as a curvaceous 6’ tall woman, I’m not a regular size for high street stores, and the hunt for items that fit my long frame has wasted so many frustrated hours in changing rooms (and further trips to the Post Office to send parcels of lovely clothes back – all gorgeous except for the fact they hover two inches higher on my knees/waist/wrists than they should).
But thankfully, high street stores are finally catching up.
The UK’s number one clothing store for tall women is Long Tall Sally – my first love, they were doing it long before anyone else was, and are still my go-to staple for something special.
But now I can find a tall fit in other stores too. This summer my summer wardrobe is made from a selection of tops and a skirt from the LTS sale, plus a few of Next’s fabulous linen mix pinafore dresses.
I accidentally ordered one in a ‘normal’ fit in the bundle – unknowingly, I tried it on first and felt the familiar frustration at it’s too-short length. But the other two I selected were the ‘tall’ fit. Oh, they’re heavenly. A full 3” longer, they skim my knee perfectly, and sit exactly where I want them.
Another great UK clothing store with a well-designed ‘tall’ range is Gap – and if you sign up for their newsletters you’re never without a decent discount code to take away some of the final bill!

My Favourite UK clothing Store has to be Marks & Spencers – It has a lot the trends, but not crazy one hit wonders more the hero classic trends which are chic and stylish. Their suits and suit jackets, for example, are so well-made materials for a fraction of the designer cost. If you love fashion you will love M&S, their accessories also hitting it out the park as far I am concerned. They are selling great trendy shoes at reasonable prices. I think this year fashion wise they have really upped their game and are surprising a lot of people, they were known for being old-fashioned but I would say they have certainly put this statement to bed.

Depending on what I’m looking for, I usually opt for the shops based on my feeling at the moment. One of my absolute go to shops though is Allsaints – their leather jackets are handmade, affordable, and gorgeous! Plus, they have some amazing denim and tops, you can spend so much in there! Whenever I’m in the market for more classic pieces though, I opt for Reiss as it’s so chic and fashionable, yet tailored. I have many blazers and silk shirts from them! For my fun pieces, I love to shop in Topshop as they’re great for the on trend clothes that you just want to wear for fast fashion, rather than staple wardrobe items. I’ve found many cute things in there, especially shoes as well. I love Topshop for easy shopping! Then there’s Urban Outfitters. If I am looking for something vintage or a little more quirky, I usually head into Urban Outfitters as they stock a great selection of vintage denim and unique looking tops. The UK has some fantastic shops, but those are my top 4!

Whistles is a go-to for dresses, jumpsuits, leather and outerwear—the quality is top-notch for the price (mostly under $500). I always make sure to check out their limited edition section for more unique pieces.
For trendier pieces, I check out River Island. Mostly everything retails for under $100, so I don’t feel guilty trying out something.
ASOS is an amazing one-stop shop for not only trends but workwear, denim, and contemporary brands like Needle & Thread, ba&sh, Ganni, and Blank NYC. ASOS’ own line ASOS Salon & ASOS Design consistently have gorgeous dresses for parties and special occasions that don’t break the bank. Plus shipping and returns are fast and easy.
I didn’t have to think long and hard to figure out which clothing store I preferred, for myself, purely because Primark is always going to be on top of my list. This is because it is that one store I know I will always end up buying at least one outfit from if not any. It caters to everyone’s style as well as budget providing good quality – I don’t feel guilty leaving with my hands full of shopping as I know I haven’t broken the bank!Shopping can be exciting – especially when you have new ideas to explore.
